›Facing New Challenges: Cities‹

Opening Ceremony at the Heidelberger Kunstverein

In the presence of festival director Sascha Keilholz and co-curator of the section, the exhibition ›Facing New Challenges: Cities‹ opened yesterday at the Heidelberger Kunstverein. The collective exhibition about cities as living space and as a space of coexistence can be experienced until January 30, 2022 and is generously supported by the programme "Tor 4 - BASF fördert Kunst".

The FACING NEW CHALLENGES section stands for low-threshold access to art and culture, in which we are exploring the possibilities of film beyond the usual cinema formats for the second time with two important cultural institutions in the metropolitan region. Of course, our offer is not limited to Heidelberg: from today, for the duration of the festival, you can marvel at the work ›If I could only be sure‹ by the young artist Johanna Hullár at the Kunsthalle Mannheim, in which she deals with the temporality of image perception.
