75 Years of IFFMH – The Grand Anniversary!
In 2026 we're celebrating a very special anniversary: the 75th edition of the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival! Three-quarters of a century filled with film history, encounters, and remarkable discoveries. For us, this is more than just looking back – it's a new beginning.
We're rolling out the pink carpet for the anniversary edition in November: with a cultural program for the entire metropolitan region, as diverse as the IFFMH itself. Under the motto "Imagine Futures!" our friends and partners from the fields of education, social services and culture have put together an exciting program of events. Together, we're looking ahead: to visions of the future in film, art, and society, to the big questions of our time and to new, encouraging perspectives. Even before the festival begins, "Imagine Futures!" creates spaces for exchange and inspiring experiences. It all kicks off on September 2nd. Here's to the future! We look forward to seeing you!
