Ndayé Kouagou: Heaven's Truth (Exhibition, 3 Sept – 15 Nov)

Ndayé Kouagou’s interdisciplinary work springs from language: His sardonic, fragmented texts—spoken by a performative alter ego (voice: Salber Lee Williams)—form the core of video works and performances that reveal the instability and impenetrability of both mediated and interpersonal communication. Through a web of dialogues and monologues, Kouagou dissects our individual and collective relationship to the world. He subverts the rhetoric of digital “gurus” and creates a deliberate sense of disorientation that conceals the existential behind playful artificiality. Within this productive illogic, he reflects on the ambiguity of truth, vulnerability, and social power structures. With *Dogs will be Dogs*, the Heidelberger Kunstverein (HDKV) presents the artist’s first solo exhibition in Germany.
