Marilyn Monroe’s final film. A moving swan song to the Western and an allegory of the life of the female superstar.

Nevada. The former nightclub dancer Roslyn (Marylin Monroe) is idolized by three men: the cowboys Gay (Clark Gable) and Guido (Eli Wallach), and the rodeo rider Perce (Montgomery Clift). The first opens up to her about his failings as a father; the second wants a child with her; and the third is deeply moved when she cries over him following an accident. Though reluctant, she finally joins the three men as they go hunting for mustangs. With this intricate, four-cornered story, famous author Arthur Miller erected a monument to his wife Marilyn that doubles as a swan song, at once magical and tragic, to the Western.
