Their assignment for the holidays: take a picture of the end of the world! In this road movie, four friends look beyond the extent of what’s familiar.

This is a story about when the world suddenly becomes bigger and takes on unexpected forms. Railway line number 1 from Seoul to the surrounding countryside is long enough to doze off, but its terminus is by no means the end of the journey. Four teenage girls embark on a trek into unknown territory in a film that gives them space and time and all the freedom they require. The girls are in the school’s photography club. Their mission is to use disposable analogue cameras to photograph the end of the world. They pursue this mission laid-back and unperturbed, allowing themselves to be guided by coincidences and the weather, waiting for the rain to end and for what comes next. This is a film that keeps its eyes wide open, an educational journey of a different kind!

GIRLS GO MOVIE will conduct a workshop centred on this film on Nov. 18 (Mannheim) and Nov. 19 (Heidelberg). More information
