Accessibility of the IFFMH

We cordially invite all people to visit the International Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg. That is why the IFFMH has set out to create access to the festival that is as barrier-free as possible.

German Sign Language

For the following events we offer a translation into German Sign Language:

  • One event at the Children's Film Festival
  • The Opening Night and the Grand IFFMH Award and Homage

German/English subtitles: All films shown at our festival are subtitled in both German and English (exception: we show German films with English subtitles only and English films with German subtitles only). In addition, there are SDH subtitles at the opening film (DIARY OF A FLEETING AFFAIR), the closing film (CHIARA) and REVOIR PARIS (GIA award ceremony).

Venues

With one exception, our venues are at least barrier-free. We have made an effort to show each film once at a barrier-free or low-barrier venue.
