Scandar Copti paints a portrait of a young and somewhat lost Israeli generation
At first, a car accident seems to have been a minor incident for young ‘Fifi’. But the event sets in motion a dynamic of lies and intrigue that plunges two families – one Jewish-Israeli, the other Palestinian – into a deep crisis. With great empathy for all sides, director Scandar Copti paints a portrait of a young Israeli generation caught between conservative values and their own disorientation.
Happy Holidays was screened at our 73rd IFFMH in 2024.
