Cutting Edge Talent Camp 2025

Our talent camp kicks off its 6th round

Our renowned Cutting Edge Talent Camp programme for young talent is now in its sixth year, with 15 participants and new management. After five inspiring years under the leadership of Zsuzsi Bánkuti, a new team of three industry experts who have been involved with the Cutting Edge Talent Camp for many years is now taking over: Tina Haagmann, Titus Kreyenberg and Cécile Tollu-Polonowski.

Some of this year's participants already have their first successes under their belts: Massih Parsaei's feature film debut, Lovers Sleep Alone (AT), was invited to this year's Work in Progress Europe programme at the San Sebastián Film Festival. Lin Htet Aung's ‘A Metamorphosis’ won the Tiger Short Competition at the 2025 International Film Festival Rotterdam. Riccardo Dejan Jurković's feature film debut ‘FRANK MEYER’ was successful at international festivals and won the Granite Prize at the Hof International Film Festival in 2023, among others. Shahab Habibi's graduation film (short film) ‘BA HAM’ was screened at Max Ophüls 2021 and other festivals and won several awards. Katharina Mumper took part in the IMPACT LAB at the Festival de Cannes in 2025, a programme curated by German Films and the Marché du Film that selects two up-and-coming producers from Germany each year.
