Award-winning films

As you know, the best newcomer films can be found in our ON THE RISE competition: this year's top prizes went to the Chinese entry "Nighttime Sounds" by Zhongchen Zhang for best director. The Hungarian-Canadian production "Blue Heron" by Sophy Romvari received both the award for best screenplay and the Student Award. And you, the audience, once again watched and voted diligently: the 2025 Audience Award went to the social drama "Surviving Earth" by Thea Gajic from Great Britain. We congratulate all the filmmakers on their awards and look forward to seeing more of them in the future!
