Guided tour through the exhibition „Masterpieces from Odesa“, followed by a screening of the documentary ›Militantropos‹

How is it possible to maintain everyday life in the midst of war? The documentary film ›Militantropos‹, which can be seen as part of our festival, shows exactly that: a kaleidoscope of impressions from Ukraine - a search for the remnants of humanity in a reality shattered by the Russian invasion.

At the same time, the Kurpfälzisches Museum Heidelberg hosts the exhibition “Masterpieces from Odesa.” In cooperation with the Gemäldegalerie Berlin, over 70 masterpieces were rescued from the Odesa Museum of Western and Eastern Art and brought to safety. Now - in honor of the city partnership between Heidelberg and Odessa that was established in May 2025 - the exhibition can be admired here.

On November 9, in a cooperation between the 74th IFFMH and the Kurpfälzisches Museum Heidelberg, there will be a guided exhibition visit followed by a film screening.
