When Nat moves into a ramshackle house in the countryside, she falls ever deeper into the abyss of an unusual love affair. A gripping relationship drama that goes beyond black-and-white role conceptions.

A love, a completely improbable love! - Nat, a translator, has just left the city and moved to the countryside. Her job confronts her with the violence suffered by women and children who have fled Africa. Now that she herself has come to a strange environment, she encounters only superficially hidden malice, chauvinism, aggression, self-absorption and ignorance, especially on the part of the local men. Eventually, one of them even bluntly offers to repair the roof of her house in exchange for sex. How does Nat respond? She accepts. But her attempt to control the situation fails and she falls deeper and deeper into emotional dependency and psychological crisis.
