What happens to our soul once we leave this world? Gloria wants to understand what words cannot explain. A powerful film about what children are able to perceive.

Spending the holidays at the hospital? That’s not what Gloria had in mind. Her single mother works as a nurse, however, and she must go along. At the hospital, Gloria meets Sofia, a girl her age whose great-grandmother suffered a fall. She’s no ordinary elderly woman, though – she’s a Brazilian healer. And she must return home at all costs. Without hesitation, Gloria and her mother accompany them on their journey. Among the community in the countryside, they experience a magical summer. And then there’s the mystery surrounding Sofia’s brother, Bento. – A sensitive film about life and letting go, about being there for one another, and about finding the courage to stand up for yourself.
