Rami Malek is extraordinary as an HIV-positive performance artist in 1980s New York. Facing death, he celebrates beauty, passion, and life itself.

Just out of the hospital, the charismatic yet mercurial performance artist Jimmy George feels more alive than he has in a long time. Immediately, he begins rehearsing a new piece. At the same time, he invites a new man into his life, even though his devoted partner continues to care for him day after day. Jimmy is part of a vibrant cultural scene whose members live as if there were no tomorrow, despite the HIV virus spreading all around them. They seem to burn with passion. And although the disease is taking an ever greater toll on him, Jimmy is determined to remain the master of his own life until the very end.
