The story of a French martyr: Resistance leader Jean Moulin is interrogated by Klaus Barbie. An unflinching historical drama from Oscar winner László Nemes.

France, 1943. Charles de Gaulle, leader of Free France, is living in exile in Britain. His political future depends on uniting the rival Resistance groups back home. Jean Moulin (Gilles Lellouche) parachutes into the Alpilles and makes his way to Paris, where he succeeds in bringing the Resistance together behind de Gaulle and himself. From then on, he becomes the most wanted man in Vichy France and the German-occupied territories. In particular, the ruthless Gestapo chief Klaus Barbie (Lars Eidinger) makes it his mission to identify, find, and break Moulin.
