Isabelle Stever’s daring new film connects the major political topic of the war in Ukraine with the deeply personal question of gender identity.

Director

Isabelle Stever has been making highly distinctive films, both formally and thematically, since studying at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) – her first short film was already shown at our festival in 1997. As with her controversial ›Grand Jeté‹, her new film is written by her wife, Anna Melikova, who grew up in Crimea.
