Frank & Louis

The latest masterpiece from the acclaimed director of ›Late Shift‹ is a moving drama about friendship, compassion, and redemption, wrapped in the guise of a prison film.

Not out of altruism but in an effort to shorten his life sentence, Frank agrees to care for fellow inmates who are suffering from dementia. With little preparation, the extremely gruff and withdrawn Louis is placed in his care. As tense and conflict-ridden as the situation between the two men is at first, their relationship gradually deepens. And what began as an act of self-interest on Frank’s part ultimately gives him a new perspective on life – even behind bars.

This moving drama won the Audience Award at this year’s Locarno Film Festival.
