No words, hardly more than a single composition, and yet what is at stake is one of the big questions of the contemporary human condition. Is it a flirtation? Or are we just imagining it?

First time, first kiss – yes, it starts with the Coca-Cola commercial. And then: scenes in front of subway stations, the intersecting lines that make up the movements of a city, before we finally follow one of them, finding ourselves inside a subway car. A young man sits on one of four seats, another sits down in front of him. Is it a flirtation, a first tentative approach? Or do we just think it is – because of the title and the commercial at the beginning? The film plays with the expectations of its audience and relies entirely on its own images, leaving interpretations up to the viewers while leading them into emotional depths, towards the absurdity of existence. Above all, it is the quasi-documentary nature of the film that tells us something about the suggestive power of cinema per se. Very simple and so effective!
