Based on the novel by Christian Kracht, a dizzying yet liberating journey – if only all family trips could be like this!

When writer Philipp (Alexander Fehling) comes to the realization that he and his family are the worst people imaginable, he sets off on a road trip through Switzerland with his terminally ill, terminally drunk mother (Barbara Sukowa). They attempt to give away her fortune. On the way, they encounter an angelic taxi driver and have to defend their bag of cash from a gang of greedy crooks. There is magic at work and Philipp ends up finding what he always wanted.

With ›Eurotrash‹, director Frauke Finsterwalder tells a story of revenge and cruelty, but also of tenderness between mother and son – and between all of us.
