The future may promise all kinds of relief, but does that include forgetting our memories? This modern classic has the answer.

What if we could simply get rid of all our painful memories? The idea fascinates Joel (Jim Carrey). He decides to erase the part of his memory that includes his failed relationship with Clementine (Kate Winslet). During the procedure, however, Joel relives the relationship and his subconscious begins to resist the erasure.

One of the most beautiful love stories of the past 30 years! A star-studded cinematic marvel in which Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet throw themselves wholeheartedly into the lovingly crafted world of director Michel Gondry.

Director

Michel Gondry (*1963) broke through with a series of striking music videos for the likes of Björk, Daft Punk, Radiohead, and the White Stripes. That’s where he developed his distinctive style, characterized by artisanal lo-fi effects. The half-playful, half-melancholic mood of his work also defines ›Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind‹, for which he received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
