The story of a driver with no name (Ryan Gosling). This cult film is one of the most important genre pieces of the 21st century!

In addition to working in an auto repair shop for his mentor Shannon (Bryan Cranston from ›Breaking Bad‹), the nameless driver (Ryan Gosling) also works as a stunt and getaway driver. He avoids all contact with the outside world – until he meets the single mother who lives next door (Carey Mulligan). When her husband is released from prison and returns to the family, the driver is drawn into a spiral of violence that seems to have only one possible end. Postmodern, grandly produced cinema wrapped in neon, with a pulsating soundtrack and a declaration of love to the 1980s.

Director

Nicolas Winding Refn is one of the defining filmmakers of our time. After the sensational success of the 'Pusher' trilogy and the arthouse hits 'Bronson' and 'Valhalla Rising', he won the directing prize in Cannes with 'Drive' and was subsequently nominated for the Palme d'Or with 'Only God Forgives' and 'The Neon Demon'. Most recently, he made a splash with the Netflix series 'Copenhagen Cowboy'.
