Things sometimes turn out differently than expected. That’s a lesson for everyone in this witty and light-footed anthology film.

C’est la vie!

A woman who systematically stands up men on dates, two sisters with very different money troubles, former lovers reunited after 20 years, a couple in the waiting room of a divorce lawyer, an actress struggling with more than just her role, and a vacation in Berlin that doubles as couples therapy: in six surprising episodes, Fabian Stumm tells stories of life’s big and small crises, laced with melancholy and lightness, absurdity and intimacy. Elegantly directed and featuring a fabulous cast that includes Angela Winkler, Maren Eggert, Marie-Lou Sellem, Jonas Dassler, Hans Löw, and Godehard Giese.
