Starring Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor and Shelley Winters: a darkly sparkling masterpiece that won six Oscars.

George Eastman grew up poor. But when his rich uncle offers him a job, the ambitious young man sees his chance to move up the social ladder. This seems to come true, especially once he meets the glamorous Angela Vickers at a party. They both fall in love and a marriage is on the cards. However, George’s former relationship with the factory worker Alice, from whom he wishes to break off completely, stands in the way. With ›A Place in the Sun‹ Montgomery Clift catapulted himself to superstardom; alongside Marlon Brando, he represented a new generation of actors.
