Sophia Schiller
Programming Consultant
Sophia Schiller studied media art and film at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. Since co-founding Filmwerk Kalliope – an association dedicated to the production of films and installations – she has been working there in the areas of production, artistic development and dramaturgy. In 2023, Sophia Schiller founded Studio29, a studio for film editing and production specialising in film, photography and moving images, based in Rottweil. Films in which she has worked as a director or in other capacities have premiered at events including the Venice Biennale, PÖFF Shorts, doclisboa and the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival. Having hosted film discussions at the IFFMH since 2023, she has also been working there as a programme consultant since 2026.
