It's a wrap!

What a festival – eleven days full of great films, numerous enthusiastic guests, encounters and parties! In keeping with our motto ‘Feel Good?!’, the 74th edition of the festival came to an end with lots of good vibes and a touch of Hollywood. We are delighted with the overwhelmingly positive feedback in the press and, of course, from you, our audience. The fact that so many of you came to the 74th IFFMH made it an unforgettable event.

Over 35,000 visitors attended our festival this year. To round off the event on 16 November, Mannheim's Lord Mayor Christian Specht also joined us at the Stadthaus. He didn't want to miss our closing film and was particularly pleased with our welcoming culture and the international diversity that we bring to the region every year. That's precisely why the IFFMH is such a wonderful fit for Mannheim and is indispensable, he said, underscoring the importance of the festival.

The closing night was once again international: Director Chad Hartigan and his two actors Ruby Cruz and Jonah Hauer-King travelled from Hollywood to celebrate the German premiere of their new film ‘The Threesome’ – a warm-hearted, romantic comedy that also tackles profound themes. After the screening, there was a lively discussion with the guests. And, of course, celebrations!
