Two young women in an asylum seekers’ shelter: caught between fleeing and new beginnings, despair and hope. An important and sensitive drama.

Having fled from Burkina Faso, young Jahia waits in a shelter for asylum seekers, hoping for a positive decision from the Belgian authorities. While her mother struggles with the traumatic memories of their escape, Jahia herself is paralyzed by fear for the future and unable to truly engage with life. Then Mila arrives, a girl from Belarus, almost the same age. With her unstoppable optimism, she slowly breaks through Jahia’s hard shell, and the two become friends. But the fear of the authorities’ decision never leaves them. Suddenly, Mila’s family receives their notice. - A moving drama about flight and migration.
