OPENING NIGHT - Nov. 11, 8 pm

Festival opening and screening ›You resemble me‹
at Cinemaxx, Cinema 10 (Mannheim).

Journalist Dina Amer's directorial debut is politically engaged cinema with a stunning formal approach. The Egyptian-French-US co-production, whose producers include Spike Lee and Spike Jonze, recently celebrated its world premiere in Venice.
Beforehand: World premiere of the new festival trailer by Till Nowak.
The OPENING NIGHT will be moderated by Katharina Elisabeth Kram.

Honouring and Screening ›Hannah Ahrendt‹
at Luxor Red (Heidelberg)

Margarethe von Trotta directs the story around Arendt's controversial text, which recognises a new form of evil in the phenomenon of Eichmann.

GRAND IFFMH AWARD Andrea Arnold - Nov. 13, 6 pm

Honouring and Screening ›Fish Tank‹
at Luxor Red (Heidelberg)

Teenager Mia dreams of becoming a dancer. In her second feature film, Andrea Arnold explores the longings of her protagonist without exhibiting them.

GRAND IFFMH AWARD Guillaume Nicloux - Nov. 15., 7:15 pm

Honouring and Screening ›To the ends of the world‹
at Luxor Red (Heidelberg) at Stadthaus N1 (Mannheim).

Guillaume Nicloux builds a bridge between the Holocaust and other crimes against humanity. The film is an exclamation mark in the radical work of the Frenchman.

AWARD CEREMONY - Nov. 18, 8 pm

at Luxor Blue (Heidelberg)

Five juries will award the six IFFMH prizes. We look forward to a welcoming speech by the State Minister for Science, Research and the Arts, Theresia Bauer.
The AWARD CEREMONY will be moderated by Romy Straßenburg.
