A father tries to give his son a second chance in this award-winning motion picture from Georgia.

Kakhi, a former wrestling champion (played by former professional wrestler Levan Tediashvili), leads a reclusive life in Tbilisi. While visiting his son Soso (Giorgi Tabidze) in New York, he discovers that Soso owes a large gambling debt to the head of the local mafia. Kakhi does everything he can to help his son. ›Brighton 4th‹ is a calm and melancholic film centred around a moving story about a father and a son. However, the world Levan Koguashivili shows us in this third work is merciless, with financial problems and debts defining practically every relationship. At the same time, he creates images of intimate physicality and tenderness and paints an affectionate portrait of the New York neighbourhood of Brighton Beach and those who live there.
