Cutting Edge Talent Camp

  • The Cutting Edge Talent Camp supports outstanding projects and talented filmmakers from Germany in their first steps towards international networking, recognition and production.

The talent camp is open to directors and producers who are students or alumni at a German film or art school and whose debut or second feature film is at a stage between financing, production and post-production.

In workshops, masterclasses and roundtables, the selected participants are invited to reflect on the potential of their work for the international market together with experts from the international cinema industry. Over the course of three days, they will get to know film festival curators and their work, discuss marketing and distribution strategies with representatives of talent labs and co-production markets, film funding, TV stations and world sales - and learn about the principles of sustainable production. Depending on the individual needs of the participants, they exchange ideas with producers, receive assistance in the further development of their projects or prepare themselves for the various stages of distribution.

The Cutting Edge Talent Camp is supported by MFG Film Funding Baden-Württemberg and the Federal Government Commissioner for culture and the Media.
