Elisabeth Bohnet


Elisabeth is a trained art historian – but she learned to look closely in the art house cinemas of her youth. Her research focuses on topics such as identity constructions and intersectionality in art history from 1800 to today. After completing her degree in German studies and European art history in Heidelberg and Hamburg, she was curatorial assistant at the Kunsthalle Mannheim for exhibitions such as "Jeff Wall: Appearance" (2018) and "Inspiration Matisse" (2019). She currently works as a freelance art historian for various museums, she writes, edits and curates.
