In 2011 the MANNHEIM MEETING PLACE takes place during the second half of IFF Mannheim-Heidelberg on November 17 - 19th 2011.
MMP’s role remains unchanged – it is to strengthen and echo the artistic concept of the Festival on the industry side: to support first and second feature production of artistic merit, and startups across all film industry sectors - especially people who want to branch out internationally.
The emphasis is on an informal forum that will particularly aid newcomers to mix with both their peers and more experienced colleagues in a benign professional and international setting. MMP also encourages participants to contribute as much as they take away.
To that aim MMP 2011 will host participants from nearly 40 countries, (double the total of 2010.)
Increasing in size by 50% over 2010, MMP 2011 is open to national distributors, TV buyers, VOD, film services and post-production, sales agents, producers and other film professionals – all with some form of commitment to art house cinema.
All industry sectors can apply for accreditation to MMP directly.

At the time of writing, several events are under construction for MANNHEIM MEETING PLACE 2011, so far including literary adaptation, VOD, producer license agreements, hard money, and regional production and distribution profiles.
