22 October 2009: MANNHEIM MEETINGS: Cradle of future films around the globe - Project Line-up
The management of the 13th MANNHEIM MEETINGS (11 - 15 November, 2009) has published the complete list of the new film projects which will be presented at the upcoming international co-financing and distribution market for arthouse films in Mannheim. 20 October 2009: Edgar Reitz to present two of his restored early works in Mannheim-Heidelberg
Filmmaker Edgar Reitz, "Master of Cinema" 2004 and president of the International Jury 2008 of the International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg, returns to Mannheim in order to present the reproduction of two of his early works: "Die Reise nach Wien" and "Die Stunde Null", in the framework of the festival. The management of the MANNHEIM MEETINGS (12 - 16 November, 2008) has published the complete list of the new film projects which will be presented at the upcoming 12th Market for Coproduction, Sales and Distribution in Mannheim (see following pages).
The total budget of the negotiated projects amounts to 91 Million Euro.

22 October 2008: Spanish-speaking countries, territories with a Francophonic background and Russia form a regional focus at the 57th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg. Altogether, six Spanish films, two from South America, five Francophonic and three Russian works in the programme.

at the 57th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg
The 57th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg will present 34 visionary dreams by newcomer directors from 22 countries captured on film in the festival's main sections. There are 18 films by young authors in "International Competition" for the Main Award of Mannheim-Heidelberg, the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Prize and the Special Award of the Jury. There are 14 new discoveries from 11 countries out of competition in the second main section "International Discoveries". 13 October 2008: Edgar Reitz is Jury President at the upcoming International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg 2008 – Five international film business professionals are jurors at the 57th International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg German film director Edgar Reitz will preside over the International Jury at the 57th Mannheim-Heidelberg Filmfestival 2008. The jury, consisting of Reitz ("Heimat"), Alexander Bohr, editor at the German national TV station ZDF, Canadian film producer Paul Martin Hus, Russian Raissa Fomina, the owner of Intercinema, and Jaana Puskala, Head of Promotion at the Finnish Film Commission, will confer the main awards at the Grand Festival Finale on 16 November, among which are the Main Award of Mannheim-Heidelberg, the Rainer Werner Fassbinder-Prize and the Special Award of the International Jury.

From 6 to 16 November the 57th edition of the International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg will take place. During the festival, the MANNHEIM MEETINGS, the international co-production and sales&distribution market, will celebrate its 12th edition.
The MANNHEIM MEETINGS will take place from
12 to 16 November 2008
and will, over the course of five days, present around 50 international projects by acclaimed and new directors to approximately 300 professionals from the international film industry, ranging from sales agents, producers and distributors to television buyers and funding agencies.
