Special Award of the International Jury

For the best film with a minimum length of 40 minutes. Or for an extraordinary performance as actor, writer, director etc.


Special Mention of the International Jury

For a remarkable film with outstanding acting, photography, music, montage etc.


Film Ducat

Film Ducats were awarded from 1958 - 1989 for the best film in five different categories, issued by the International Jury. 


Special Award for a film committed to sociopolititical issues 

Award for a film with a minimum length of 45 minutes, standing out for sociopolitical commitment. 


Best environmental film

Special award of the "Krempelmarkt" group for the best film concerning environmental issues.


Special Award of the International Filmweek
Awarded from 1985 to 1988.


Main Award - Third World Competition

Award for feature films, documentaries and short films made in the "Third World", called out by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.


The International Film Critics' Prize
The FIPRESCI-Jury award their prize.
