Special Prize of the International Filmweek
Issued by the Filmweek of Mannheim from 1985 - 1988, considering the large number of good films in the program, which could only be partially taken into account by the International Jury.
Main Award for Films in the Third World Competition
Prize for all feature-, documentary- and short films from Third World Countries, issued by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation. The awarded Films should establish understanding for a tolerant, peaceful coexistence and a cooperative partnership, as well as raising awareness for the problems in the countries of origin.
