Main Award of Mannheim
For the best film with a minimum length of 60 minutes.


Special Award of the Lord Mayor of Mannheim
For the best documentary film with a minimum length of 45 minutes, characterised by sociopolitical commitment. 


Josef-von-Sternberg Award
For the best unconventionally narrated feature film.


Special Mention of the International Jury
For a remarkable film with outstanding acting, photography, music, etc.


Film Ducat
Film Ducats were awarded from 1958 - 1989 for the best film in five different categories, issued by the International Jury.


Special Award for the Best Television Film
Awarded by the International Jury.


The International Film Critics' Prize
The FIPRESCI-Jury award their prize.


Interfilm Award
Issued by the INTERFILM-Jury of the International Protestant Work Group Film. 


Catholic Film Prize
Prize for the best film, issued by the Jury of the Catholic Work Group Film.


Recommendations of the Adult Education Centre
